To get the best deal, whether you’re buying a new or used car, you want to avoid the “lion’s den”. In other words, don’t even go to a Dealer until you’ve already struck a deal.

That’s right. To get the absolute best price possible, you do not want to be sitting there in a Dealership negotiating back and forth with a salesperson. This is where they want you.

The Dealership is where they can wear you down or confuse you with their very effective selling techniques such as “the 4-sguare”, “going for a bump”, “using leg”, and many others.

Instead, you want to stay off their turf entirely by simply using the phone.

Call three or four Dealerships with similar vehicles and tell them you are buying a car in the next 48 hours. Also tell them the car you are interested in and that you are comparing final offers from four different Dealerships. Keep the call straightforward and short.

By doing this, the Dealers are forced to compete for your sale. Let them get back to you with their best “out-the-door” prices. If a Dealer’s quote takes them out of the running, let them know you’ll consider another offer from them.

Trust me, Dealers want your business. They’re not going to want to lose the sale, particularly when they also know you are buying a similar vehicle somewhere else.

The last Dealer standing wins. Only then do you go to the Dealership to look at and drive the car, and to then do the paperwork if you are satisfied.

This technique also works even better during the last two or three days of the month. Often, Dealerships have monthly quotas and their last few days “make or break them”.

By following this technique, you’ve been the one in control during the entire process.

Buy A Used Car: 3 Reasons To Say In With The Old

Why you should buy a used car. You know it is time to buy a replacement for your vehicle. Repair bills are looming on the horizon or eating into your checking account. Every time you turn around something seems to be going wrong — both large and small annoyances make driving an ongoing hassle. Once you have made the decision to go car shopping, the first question you must face is whether to go new or used. Here are three reasons you should buy a used car.

The top reason to buy a used car is that new cars are a losing proposition. New cars depreciate fast. Did you know that as soon as you drive a new car off a dealer lot it will instantly depreciate between $1,000-$2,000. After the first three years most cars are worth only about 60-70 percent of their original value. However if you buy an used car then you will have to pay a lot less for a nice car and you will not have to worry about that depreciation.

Once upon a time buying an used car was a risky proposition. There was a good chance you could buy a lemon or a car that had been used and abused or even been in an accident. Today the savvy consumer does not have to face these risks which leads to the second reason for buying an used car. It is safer (and less risky) than it has ever been before. Many reputable dealers offer one-owner vehicles that are still on warranty so that takes some risk out of the equation, but in addition today there are many research tools available on the internet to help you learn about the reputation and performance history for the particular vehicle model you are considering plus you can even run the vehicle identification numbers to determine if a specific vehicle has been in an accident. It is probably a lot less risky to buy an used car than a new unproven vehicle that might turn out to be a lemon. You can also get a pretty accurate value for a vehicle so you know how much you should pay.

Finally, buying an used car takes a lot of the stress out of new car ownership while still letting you enjoy the benefits of a new vehicle. Dealers will give a vehicle a turnout so it will have that new car smell, but because you do not have to worry about the price you paid you can sit back and enjoy your new-to-you vehicle without worrying about tempting fate. Plus, many dealers have more room to deal on an used car than they often do with a new car so you have more bargaining power.

So if you are looking to buy a car then you should consider buying an used car because it will save you money, it is safer than ever before, and it is less stressful.

If you are looking to buy a car but are unsure whether or not a new car is worthwhile, then you should consider the benefits of buying a car with a personal contract purchase loan. Using a personal contract purchase loan can reduce the amount of depreciation you suffer, and help you to get the car you want. Here is some more information about buying a car with a personal contract purchase loan.

What is a PCP?

A PCP, or personal contract purchase loan, is a personal contract for private individuals. It allows you to set a contract term with monthly payments for your new car. At the end of the term you can either purchase the vehicle fully or give it back to the contact provider.

Costs of a PCP

The costs of a PCP depend on the car you are buying, and how much deposit you can afford to put down. It also depends on the length of the contract, as well as other factors like maintenance requirements. However, the length of the agreement will usually last from 24-42 months, during which time you pay a monthly cost as a rental’ of the vehicle.

Guaranteed future value

One advantage of a PCP is that you will get a minimum guaranteed future value agreed, so that you know how much you will have to pay at the end of the loan term to buy the car outright. You can either pay the guaranteed value and own the car, hand it back without any payments, or use the guaranteed value towards another new car.

Cheaper than many other methods

Apart from flexibility, the main advantage of a PCP is that you have fixed monthly payments that are likely to be lower than other forms of auto finance. Also, if you get a PCP with maintenance included you will not have to worry about large repair costs like you might with a used car. Also, depreciation is lower because you have a guaranteed future value.

Losing the car

Perhaps the biggest disadvantage of a PCP is that during the contract term you do not actually own the car. You are simply leasing it from the provider, so if you should fail to make the payments the car can be taken away from you. Before taking out a PCP, make sure you can afford the repayments so that you will be able to keep the car you want.

Cheaper than a loan

Although PCP means you don’t own the car during the contract term, it is much cheaper than a loan for financing a car. Even if you get a very low rate, you will pay back more and the depreciation will be higher. If you are looking to buy a car and you don’t want to pay outright, then go for a PCP.

Do you live in or around the Chicago area? If you do, are you also in the market for a new used car? If you are, have you already started your used car search? If you have yet to do so, you may want to think about examining all of your options. When it comes to buying a used vehicle, many individuals end up wasting precious time, as well as hard-earned money. By first examining all of your used car buying options, you should be able to create a plan for yourself. This plan cannot only help you find a quality used car to buy, but it may also be able to save you a considerable amount of time and money.

In and around the Chicago area, you should be able to find a large number of used car dealerships. These dealerships are sometimes a great place to find used cars. The only downside to buying a used car from a Chicago used car dealership is that you never really know exactly who you are doing business with. Unfortunately, over the past few years, a large number of used car dealerships have started using some questionable tactics to help improve their sales. Now, this isnt just limited to the Chicago area, as it is a trend that is seen all across the country, but it is still something that you should keep in mind.

Although you should display caution when looking to buy a used car from a Chicago used car dealership, it does not mean that you shouldnt at least stop and examine the selection of cars at a used car dealership. As with buying a used car from anywhere, you are advised against relying on the word of the seller. Instead of just taking someones word, you will also want to do your own inspection. It is advised that you closely examine and inspect all used cars that you find at a dealership. You can expect to pay more money for a used car at a dealership than you would anywhere else; therefore, you want to make sure that your money will be money well spent.

In addition to buying a used car from a Chicago dealership, you can also buy a used car from other Chicago residents or from residents in the surrounding areas. When it comes to buying a new car, many new car buyers try to sell their own cars on their own, instead of using them for a trade-in. Many car owners believe that this will get them more money for their cars. The good thing about buying a used car directly from a car owner is that you never know when you may find a good deal. You may be able to find a used car for sale just by driving to and from work or on your way home from grocery shopping.

Although buying a used car directly from the car owner is a great way to find a quality used vehicle, you need to be careful about overpaying. As previously mentioned, a large number of car owners try to sell their own cars, instead of relying on them for a trade-in. This is often done in hopes of making extra money. That is what leads many individuals to price their used cars too high. Of course, you will want to make sure that you thoroughly examine and inspect any used car that you are interested buying, but you may also want to think about doing a little bit of research; research concerning the value of the vehicle in question. This will help to prevent you from paying too much money for a used car.

Another option that you have when looking to buy a used car is auto auctions. Auto auctions are nice because you are often able to choose from a large number of used cars. Some Chicago auto auctions have as many as fifty or more cars at each of their auctions. It is also important to mention that auto auctions are one of the cheapest ways to go about getting a used car. One of the reasons for that is because auto auctions are almost like a well-kept secret. Many used car shoppers do not realize just how great auto auctions really are.

Although auction auctions are a great way to buy a used car, you should proceed with caution. In and around the Chicago area, you should be able to find a number of used car auctions, many of which are held on a scheduled basis. To find an affordable, but reliable used car, you will want to attend an auto auction that gives you as much information on the used cars that they will be selling. There are some used car auction houses or companies, like North Shore Auto Auction, that post information on their upcoming auto auctions online, including vehicle pictures, as well as detailed information. You may also want to attend an auction auto that gives you the opportunity to closely examine or inspect each vehicle before bidding.

As you can see, you have a number of different options when it comes to buying a used car. For the best chance of success, you may want to think about attending a number of auto auctions, visit some Chicago used car dealerships, as well as speak with any car owners that may have used cars available for sale. By keeping all of your options open, you are more likely to find the used car of your choice.

There are many challenges you will face when buying either a new or used car. It depends on the model that you want, how much is the budget, the size of your family and the options that go with it.

If you have an idea on the right car, then a little research on the value of the car in the market to date will be able to help the you when approaching a dealer.

This can be done by checking the internet or looking through the local newspaper before going to the various dealers in the area to make comparisons.

If the ideal car is not available on the lot, the if you tell the dealer about it these people can help by looking for that particular model or offer a similar car similar to your choice.

Since dealers often want to get rid of the cars quickly, it is also possible to get a good deal on what is available as long as it meets your requirements.

Most cars have a maintenance record. The buyer must ask the dealer to see it and if it is not available, then you should contact the dealership or repair shop where most of the work was done.

The buyer has the right to see a copy of the dealers warranty. To be safe, you can also ask if a service contract is provided in buying the used car. This contract that is offered by the dealer may or may not provide coverage that is in the manufacturers warranty which may cost extra.

Since the warranty usually comes when buying a car and the service contract does not, it is best to ask if you need to avail of by answering some questions;

What are the differences between the coverage of the warranty and the service contract?
What repairs are covered?
Is routine maintenance covered?
Who will pay for labor and parts if brought to the shop?
Who is authorized to perform the repairs and where?
How long does the service contract last?
What are the cancellation and refund policies?

Just looking at the car will not give information if the car is in good condition. It should be test driven under various road conditions such as the highway or in traffic.

Since most people are not that knowledgeable about cars, it is advisable to bring the car to a reliable mechanic for proper inspection.

Struggling hard to save your money? Cheap used car usually mean to inexpensive per-owned automobile although most of inexpensive used car can be cheap. With cheap used car you can save lots of your money on buying.

Good deals come and go incredibly fast. You may find out fast where you can get the cheapest deal on a used car only to realize that it is no longer available by the time you to get to the dealership.

But inexpensive can mean something different to different people. You will find different rates for every car as its according to there model and use you have to select the car which will satisfy your need in your budget, it means getting a reasonably good dependable car for as little money as possible.

There is also risks in cheap used cars unfortunately, the older the used car and the less it costs, the higher the possibility that the buyer will encounter problems and expenses that were not anticipated.

To reduce your tension after you have purchased your used car, its even more important to follow the suggestions in our Used Car Buying Guide. It means the older the car, the more effort you should take to make sure the car is in good condition and will be reliable for the time you intend to own it.

Before you decide to purchase a used car it important to get that car inspect by the technical person who has good knowledge about the automobile parts and its performance. While you wouldn’t need to check a relatively new car’s engine compression, this should be on the “must” list for an older car. Otherwise, you could be replacing the engine in a short time.

If you are considering whether to buy or perhaps lease your next car and which would afford you the best deal, most consumer experts agree that from a purely financial aspect you will be better off in buying your next car.

Of course paying cash in full is the best possible scenario since with this option you would avoid any type of finance charge. But for the vast majority of us and for the scope of this article well take a look those purchases or leases that involve financing.

In the short term leasing may look attractive to you because monthly lease payments will more than likely be less than the monthly payments of a purchase agreement. Why? Because with a lease you are essentially only paying for the part of the car you are going to use. Its kind of like splitting the cost of a pizza with someone. You are only paying for the pieces that you are going to eat. In car terminology the part that is left over in a lease is called the residual value of the car. The higher the residual value of the car the less of the car you will use during the lease so you payments for the part that you do use (the lease) will be lower.

Typically lease durations are 24, 36, or 48 months. Do not sign up for a lease beyond 48 months. Actually anything beyond 36 months is pushing the value of the lease. Dont let the car salesman get you into a longer lease just because they make your monthly payments look more attractive. Remember time costs you money and the cars residual value will plummet and you loose all the advantages of leasing and still be left with nothing in the end.

For some drivers the car buying decision isnt based purely on bottom line numbers. And this is fine. Its strictly personal. Leasing does afford you the ability to always be driving a new car. A car that is within a few years of the latest body style and technology. A car that is always under the factory warranty. For the person that has accepted the fact that they enjoy being in a newer car and that car payments is just another monthly expense, then why not get the most car for the money? Then leasing could be a good alternative.

If this is your personal preference the other two questions you must answer are how many miles a year do I drive and how hard on cars am I? The mileage question can really come back to haunt you if you are not careful. People who are in new cars and thus enjoy driving them and showing them off more will have a tendency to drive them more. Be very careful with you mileage. Going over your allotted mileage on your lease could end up costing anywhere from 15 to 30 cents per mile beyond the lease mileage allowance and this can get painful in a hurry. In most leases you can purchase additional mileage up front at the time of the lease but keep in mind if at the end of your lease you havent used all of your miles, you dont get that money refunded back to you.

I mentioned a bit earlier you need to consider how well you treat your cars. Only you will know this and you need to be honest with this one. Dont think that you can turn your lease car in at the end of the lease with the car in sub par condition. If you do, you may be assessed reconditioning fees that could become rather hefty.

In summary, from a purely financial perspective buying your next new car is the best over the long haul. But, car with car ownership, so much personal preference, and personal priorities come into play. If you think leases look attractive, be absolutely certain about your mileage you will drive. Take good care of the car. And finally check with your insurance agent first to make sure that you dont give back the money you save in monthly payments to your insurance company.

There are a lot of perks associated with car shopping online with eBay Motors, including the buyer being able to set the price. In addition, automobile insurance is more affordable on used cars and, with an auction, the buyer pays in full and there is no hassle of a monthly payment. If you do plan to shop for your next car on eBay Motors, take a moment to consider the following tips to help get you started on the road to car shopping success.

First and foremost, check with your car insurance company before deciding to purchase a specific car on eBay Motors or anywhere else. If the cost of car insurance is a major deciding factor, then you will want to be clear about the costs before you commit to purchasing. In addition, it may be helpful to know that SUVs carry a higher insurance cost than that of a car. With that being said, the cost of insurance will be less on a used car than if that same model were purchased new.

Request a CarFax report from the seller and, if they do not have one, request the VIN number so that you may obtain a copy directly. This report is something that every potential car owner needs to have. Why? Because it contains the number of previous owners that a particular car has had, information regarding whether or not the car has ever been involved in a flood or other accident and whether or not the title is clear. There is also more information detailing a cars history included, which is why no automobile should ever be purchased without a CarFax report.

Before deciding that your car of choice is the deal of a lifetime, take a moment to research its value according to Kelly Blue Book. This company is one of the most respected in the industry and instantly provides new or used car values directly from their website. After entering specific information relating to a car, individuals will receive an instant value assessment according to the information provided. This tool will help all potential car owners to find out whether or not a deal is too good to be true or just not too good at all.

Take a moment to consider the cars fuel mileage. With gasoline prices what they are, it is important to think about how many miles you will get from one gallon of gasoline. The more mileage you have per gallon, the less you will end up spending in gasoline. This is definitely something to think about!

When shopping for cars on eBay Motors, take special notice of the mileage. This is a good indication of how much life the car has left in it or whether you are buying a car that has seen its best days. A great number of cars on eBay Motors have very low mileage, but others are well over 100,000.

As a final thought to shopping for cars on eBay Motors, take a moment to make sure that the car you ultimately select is one that will best fit your lifestyle. If you have a large family, for instance, a compact car probably isnt the best choice. You will need additional space to make sure that everyone is comfortable and to make it ideal for long road trips. At the same time, a single person may be more than happy in a smaller car because of the simple fact that they use much less gasoline than an SUV or similar automobile. When shopping for cars, either new or used, its all about lifestyle and which one best fits yours.

Car loans are more common than ever. Most people are learning that they can get into the car that they want much easier and much more quickly if they have a loan than if they wait until they have saved enough. The fact of the matter is that cars are expensive, even those that are not all that fancy. If you want a car that will last and will get you from point A to point B safely you’ll need to invest in it. And a simple way to do this is with a car loan.

Applying For a Car Loan

Applying for your first car loan is a little bit unnerving because you aren’t quite sure what you are getting into. The process is actually quite simple and depending on your credit, your lender, and your car dealership you could be driving home in your new set of wheels the same day as you fill out an application! Sound too good to be true? The whole point of car loans is that they make it simple for people to get a new car without actually having the cash on hand.

When you apply for a car loan you will first need to know what sort of car you would like to buy. Most lenders need to know the make and model of the car that you are looking at so they can verify that it is a car worthy of their financial support. In addition to providing the lender with this information you will need to supply your personal information such as your full name, your mailing address, your financial information, your date of birth, and your social security or tax payer identification number. When the lender has all of this information they run a credit check. They look to see how responsible you have been with credit in the past.

If you have had credit challenges in the past, there is no need to worry. There are many lenders out there who deal with those that have less than perfect credit. Regardless of your credit, you will usually hear back from the lender within an hour or so and they will let you know how much they are willing to finance, how much of a down payment you need if any, and what the terms of your loan are. The terms refer to how long you have to pay off the loan and what your interest rate is. Once you sign the paperwork and verify that you have automobile insurance you are free to drive your vehicle home.

With a car loan you will generally need to make one monthly payment. This not only pays on the amount that you have had to borrow to buy the car, but also the interest on the loan. While the idea of paying on a car loan is not something that people look forward to, it is a lot easier to come up with the money for a monthly payment than it is to save up for the car! Car loans really do make it simple for the average consumer to get that new car.

Car Tech Auto Auction The Place To Buy A Car

In todays world the car has become a necessity since long ago. Its not just used for sports or as a hobby, people use it for every day life and for all kind of things and activities. Think about it a little.

You probably cant even imagine your life without the car. When people go to work or to the supermarket they use their cars. Cars are being used for everything that people do. Unfortunately for some of us, a car doesnt come for free. But there are also some good news.

If you ever wanted to buy a car but didnt have enough funds to do so, you should know that there are places where you can have a car for a relative small amount of money. One of these places is the car tech auto auction. From a car tech auto auction you can have a car that isnt new, but with whom you will be able to do your work.

What is the Car Tech Auto Auction about?

The car tech auto auction usually deals with used vehicles that are being salvaged and afterwards resold. The car tech auto auction is usually a great deal for both the buyer and the dealer. From such an auction people can have their cars for a very reasonable price, cars that they may never afford to buy them new or from another place.

From the car tech auto auction people can leave with their dream car and still have some money left in their pockets. This is actually the main idea of this type of car auction: a place where people can come and buy a car without having to spend big. And we arent talking here about some rag, were talking about a car that can really be driven. It may not be new, but with a little luck you can even find cars with only a few thousand miles, and this means that they are almost new.

The car tech auto auction is the perfect place where you can buy a car for your child or even for you, if you dont have enough money to buy a new one.

Although they have enough money to buy a new car, some people still buy them from these kind of auctions because they trust in the quality of the services that they offer and in the cars that are being sold here. After all, regardless of how much money you have, you dont just want to waste them on things that you can have for a much less sum, dont you agree?
